Kata “wirausaha” adalah sebuah kosakata yang cukup populer di masyarakat, terutama di zaman informasi ini. Tentu saja pasti kalian sudah pernah mendengar nama Mark Zuckerberg, pengusaha muda penemu Facebook. Kapankah generasi muda Indonesia bisa seperti dia?

Sekolah Bisnis dan Manajemen (SBM ITB) akan melaksanakan sebuah “entrepreneruship challenge” untuk menantang mahasiswa Indonesia untuk bermimipi dan mewujudkan mimpinya.

Selama exam period ini (10 desember - 23 desember) gw sudah menyelesaikan 2 Japanese dorama series, namely Hero dan Dragon Zakura. A lot of people would think it weird to spend some time during exam period catching up on the series we love (oh yeah.. finished about 6 episodes of How I Met Your Mother) and even started watching (and finishing, in my case) another 2 doramas. Well, if you’ve watched Dragon Zakura, then you’ll now that what I’m doing is totally reasonable. After all, human on average only can only stay fully concentrated for 1.5 hours.

Exam period is the longest period of time during functional academic year which you can spend for yourself. All club activities freeze, others focus on their own studies and you are not bothered by lab report deadlines. You have the entire two weeks (interspersed with exams, of course) to spend. For some of us who love movies and series, this is the perfect time to indulge in a few episodes, justified with “istirahat abis exam” and “baru selesai lecture ini”.

And if you choose the correct dorama to watch, it could lift up your mood to study. Probably in the way Dragon Zakura had swayed me.

Salah satu ide gile gw. Beberapa minggu yang lalu ngobrol sama Iib, sohib dari Kharisma Bangsa juga di NTU. Dah beberapa minggu ini kita ada ide buat bikin web buat alumni Karbang. Memang sampe sekarang alumni Karbang baru 2 angkatan, which makes it less than 100, but it’s never bad to start early does it?

Tapi… kita masih stuck sama ide nih. Abisnya kalau dilihat aktivitas di internet, gak semua anak Karbang suka pergi online, nulis dan meninggalkan jejak. So.. klo di buat sistem blog, gak bakal kepake juga sama semuany >.<

Salah satu ide brilian yang kita punya adalah untuk membikin sebuah yirbuk online yang bisa di populate sama anak2 Karbang, tidak terbatas hanya ke satu angkatan. Ide itu dateng atas beberapa pertimbangan :

• Website dengan framework yearbook bersifat dinamis, sehingga graduating class bisa langsung ngisi dan update
• Yearbook akan keep track tiap2 angkatan di Karbang. Karena diclassify tiap angkatan, akan ada sense of belonging tersendiri bagi setiap anak di angkatan itu
• At the same time, websitenya akan berguna sebagai platform bagi kita yang pengen follow up sama temen2 cross angkatan

Yups, sampe sekarang sih baru segitu justificationnya. Websiteny gak bakal segede Facebook atau Twitter, tapi yang penting bisa keep track dengan alumni2 Karbang.. (Who knows one of us will be the next SBY in the future, :D)
